We know this is still considered a shopping experience, but these markets offer so much more. Every first and third Sunday of the month you’ll find the famous Peregian Beach Markets. Along Kingfisher Drive, stalls stocking unique items flood the pathway, along with many unique food options available. If you’re especially interested in viewing some of the work of the local artists in the area, these markets are a great stop to view and purchase their works.
Lake Weyba
Noosa’s best kept secret and located just minutes away from Peregian Beach, Lake Weyba is one of the most stunning natural attractions on the Sunshine Coast. Ideal for kayaking and windsurfing, the water is clear and considered safe, perfect for swimming. Find a spot to set up a picnic under a shady tree and spend the day fishing, birdwatching, kite-boarding….and spot some of our local kangaroos!
Noosa National Park – Peregian Section
Just 3km south of Peregian is the Peregian Section of Noosa National Park. The starting point of this short (0.6km one way) and easy walking track is tucked into bushland just opposite the Noosa National Park: Emu Mountain Section. The track is mostly flat, with many sections of boardwalk, as it travels over some wetland areas. This is a great place to see some incredibly varied vegetation and unique wildlife, as the track covers wetland, sedges and coastal heath and sand dunes before you emerge onto the most peaceful section of Peregian Beach.
PEREGIAN BEACH
Peregian beach, a well-known surf beach, is fully patrolled and perfect for both young and old. You will be captivated with views up to Sunshine Beach to the north, and Coolum Beach to the south. There is a large grassy area at the forefront of the beach with a skateboard park, children’s playground and plenty of picnic seating.
