As Noosa Junction locals, we love exploring the area’s restaurants, bars and shops! With so many fresh, vibrant and unique places opening over the past few years, Noosa Junction is most definitely a destination in its own right!
With so many choices in town, we’ve put the spotlight on Theo’s, one of the latest additions to Noosa Junction, and The Orangerie, who are just about to celebrate their first year in the Junction!
These two places have brought their passion and products from their extensive travels right here to Noosa, so that you can experience them too!
The Orangerie – your natural skincare emporium
Orangerie, French for Orangery – is a fully enclosed structure built for purpose, where orange trees and other fruit trees are protected in the perfect climate. This name was chosen to reflect the skincare products packed with botanical ingredients, set with a store influenced by Orangeries.
Therefore, at The Orangerie Noosa, you can experience natural body and mind care, within a gorgeous store, designed by Renegade Design Studio – “Thoughtfully curated spaces designed to enhance the senses.” This is evident to see in this stunning store filled with natural light, plants and an exquisite collection of natural, clean and high-performance products that are kind to you and kind to the Earth.
Embrace ethical, sustainable and non-toxic products
Laura is the lady behind this fabulous store, which opened in Noosa Junction on 1 April 2020. Searching Australia and the world for beautiful things, Laura and her team bring sustainable and non-toxic products directly to you. They apply a 3-step screening process to select the best brands, and the best products, covering ethical criteria, detailed ingredients criteria and product performance, so that you can shop with confidence.
Discover a treasure trove full of plant based and natural skincare, makeup, fragrance, medicinal herbs, books, gifts and wellness wonders. Ask Laura and her team about any of the beautiful products on offer and they can expertly guide you through their benefits, origins and ingredients.
Experience organic takeaway beverages & wellness workshops
You can get a smooth, creamy takeaway First Batch coffee (so delicious), which is why we regularly get our caffeine fixes from here! They also offer loose leaf chai, cacao and medicinal mushroom chai!
They also host workshops, product demonstrations and education sessions around non-toxic living, skincare, wellness and herbal medicine. So, you can explore your connection with the natural environment. And where better to do that than in Noosa?
Theo’s Social Club – your neighbourhood wine bar
Sam and Maddy are the wonderful local couple behind Theo’s. Born from an appetite of chasing good wine, great food, and exceptional experiences all over the world, they have brought the things they love to Noosa. Which is their exciting and ever-changing wine list, great accompaniments, and a relaxed environment for you to have a good time.
Why the name Theo’s? Because Theophilus is Sam’s middle name and he’s dreamt of opening a wine bar called Theo’s for the past decade. And now he has – Theo’s opened on 17 December 2020.
Get your weekend off to a great start with an afternoon cocktail, or a late-night rendezvous with some wine and cheese. Open from 4pm till midnight, Thursday to Monday, with the kitchen open all the way to close, you’re all set for a laid-back evening.
Choose your setting and find your place
With three distinct areas to choose from, Theo’s is great all year round and to suit every style. Alfresco dining is perfect in the warm afternoon sun and as night falls, you’ll relax surrounded by fairy lights and large table candles.
The lower level has sociable bar seating and benches where you can embrace the vibe of the bar. With the air conditioning blowing on hot days, you’ll be kept nice and cool.
The retro loft is warmly lit with comfy couches and beautifully designed, featuring dial-up phones, funky artwork and deep, rich colours. This is the idyllic lounge area to lounge around with good company and great wine.
Food and drink that’s made for socialising
Although their focus is on wine, they have a great variety of cocktails. They use local produce and closed-loop practices to offer a small list of divine drinks. The Watermelon Social Club is especially good and dangerously morish!
The cocktail list changes with the seasons to incorporate the best local and seasonal products to deliver a diverse menu to suit many tastes. Their visual wine list has 80+ labels stretching the length of the bar. Not sure which to try? Then ask Sam!
Let’s not forget the nibbles! Their grazing plates emanate European street dining, with olives, cheese, charcuterie, and rotating toast and crudities. Plant-based boards are on offer with house-made dips, mushroom pâté and accompaniments. All their parfaits, pâtés and conserves are made in-house.
