But don’t let the charming plant-filled surroundings fool you – The Doonan is much more than just a pretty face. The eclectic Italian-inspired menu caters to all tastes, with authentic Neapolitan, rustic-style pizzas baked in a Marana rotary pizza oven imported from Italy with fresh toppings that come from local suppliers like the neighbouring tomato farm, Noosa Reds.
Originally a quaint German restaurant, the unique property has been extensively renovated to accommodate up to 200 guests in a garden-like setting.
The newest concept from the Comiskey Group offers a paddock-to-plate menu that showcases the very best local produce, along with a drinks list that will satisfy even the most discerning cocktail or beer connoisseur. Boasting an abundance of outdoor seating, two bars, an ice-cream parlour, cellar door, and even a grassy field perfect for lawn games!

There is great news for families with young children – a new kids’ playground is set to open in just a couple of months! In the meantime, there is still have plenty of space for your little ones to run around and play on the large grass area, complete with soccer balls and other games.
While we hope for sunny skies during your visit to The Doonan, we understand that rain can happen unexpectedly. But there is no reason to worry as all of the outside tables are undercover so you can still enjoy the beautiful outdoor atmosphere even if there’s a bit of rain.
If you’re looking for a more intimate setting, there’s also a bar on the ground floor of the original building.
Bookings are essential so make sure to plan ahead to ensure you secure a table. You won’t want to miss out on this charming and unique dining experience. They do have a limited amount of seating for walk-ins who are wanting to pop in for a drink however the menu is limited to the Pizzeria.
